Translating a website is usually a complex process, you have to choose a specific plugin for your content management system and hope that it is compatible with everything on your website. Our technology is different. We don't use any plugins or integrations, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.
Dilingual acts as a translation proxy, meaning that it sits between your website and the user, translating the content on the fly. Of course, you will still have the ability to edit any content.
The way your website traffic is served is as following:
- Website visitors visit "de.example.com" which is hosted on Dilingual.
- Dilingual forwards the request to "example.com".
- "example.com" sends back the untranslated response to Dilingual.
- Dilingual is translating all the content on the fly and returning translated versions to the website visitors.
