Easier translation previews with Dilingual

With our simple online translation solution Dilingual, translated websites of our clients are delivered through our proxy service.

With our simple online translation solution Dilingual, translated websites of our clients are delivered through our proxy service.

In practice, this means that the main page of a project example.com receives subdomains for the respective languages de.example.com, es.example.com, which deliver the automatically translated homepages via our proxy. This requires simple DNS changes in the customer's domain, which can be done in less than 5 minutes.

Some of our customers have brought problems to our attention that have prompted us to simplify this already simple process even further:

  • The customer does not want to change his DNS settings yet because he wants to test the service first and does not want to make the translated site available to a wide audience yet.
  • A professional translation agency wants to perform the translation of a website for a client even before the client has to change settings on his site.

From now on, we offer the possibility to translate projects without changing DNS settings on our staging platform. Customers will receive a temporary test domain for the translated page on which the translated homepage will be delivered.

The translated page from example.com will therefore be found on the domain de-example.com.translated.page, for example, until the change is made. Once the customer is ready and wants the translated website to be accessible, the domain settings can be changed and the homepage will be delivered regularly via de.example.com.

We hope to further simplify Dilingual for our customers with this new feature.
